Counseling for the whole of who you are — in Fairfield, CT, and online across Connecticut. Come as you are.
Something in you has been listening — to a tiredness that sleep doesn’t quite reach, to a question that hasn’t yet found words, to a quiet insistence that something needs attention. This is a space where that something is welcome. I’m Don McCoy, a counselor based in Fairfield, CT, offering individual and couples therapy in person and online. My work is rooted in the belief that what most people need isn’t to be fixed, but to be genuinely met — with care, with curiosity, and without hurry. Healing doesn’t happen faster when we push harder. It happens when there is finally enough room.
People arrive at this door from many different directions. Some come with a name for what they’re carrying; others come with only a feeling they can’t quite shake. Both are a fine place to begin.
● A low hum of anxiety that never fully quiets
● Grief that doesn’t follow the timeline others seem to expect
● The disorientation of a life in transition — a career, a relationship, a sense of self
● Patterns in relationships that keep returning, no matter how hard you try to leave them behind
● Questions of meaning, purpose, or faith that feel too large and too private to say aloud
● A sense of being present in your life without really being in it
